IEEE 802.11ah (after this, we call 11ah), which enables communication at a theoretical maximum transmission rate of 15 Mb/s over a distance of approximately 1 km using the 920 MHz band, is expected to be widely used in the IoT field as one of the Low Power Wide Area (LPWA). In a real-world environment, communication between 11ah and other LPWAs using 920 MHz band would compete. In our previous works, when 11ah and Private LoRa communications compete, we revealed that the performance of 11ah decreases significantly while the channel occupancy time of LoRa increases as the distance between each communication increases. This is due to the difference in carrier sense operation between LoRa and 11ah and the difference in channel occupancy time (AirTime) required to transmit one packet. In this paper, to improve the fairness of each communication in an environment where 11ah and LoRa communication compete, we consider a method to introduce machine learning into the parameter determination of LoRa communication. |
