[Invited Lecture] Electric field integral equation for computer simulation of dielectric slab waveguides
Masahiro Tanaka (Gifu Univ.) EMT2023-66
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper discusses about electric field integral equations (EFIEs) for computer simulations of dielectric slab waveguide.
In the formulation of EFIEs, the incident wave is the TE and/or TM fundamental guided-mode.
In the procedure to apply the method of moments to EFIEs, the TM incidence case is only shown.
The unknown functions in EFIEs are surface electric current and surface magnetic current.
The surface electric current is represented using the roof-top function as expansion function and the surface magnetic current is represented using the pulse function as expansion function.
The matrix and vector elements of the linear equation that is derived after applying the method of moments are shown.
