Experiment of imaging performance of buried pipes under various scan conditions has been conducted by combining multiple one-dimensional scans using two dimensional scanning radar instrument to apply to tomography with airborne or spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). According to the analyses, improvement of image quality has been achieved with keeping a certain distance between both ends and reducing the number of scans. Furthermore, FDTD (Finite-Difference Time-domain) simulation of buried pipes has been also conducted and visualized, and the result implies that combination of various incident angles plays a role in improving the image quality. |
