Integrated Radio Resource and User-Cluster Allocation for mmWave Distributed MIMO with Partial MMSE

(in English) This paper proposes a novel integrated radio resource and user-cluster allocation for mmWave distributed MIMO (D-MIMO) with User-Cluster Centric (UCC) -Partial minimum-mean square error (MMSE). The UCC-Partial MMSE scheme allows a more users to be spatially multiplexed while achieving scalability even in large D-MIMO. However, user throughput can be degraded by inter-cluster interference to which MMSE interference suppression is not applied and by intra-cluster interference between two users with a significantly high spatial correlation that cannot be suppressed by MMSE. To address this issue, the proposed method considers the estimated interference between two users to allocate the wireless resources and user clusters for improving the system capacity. System-level simulations are conducted for an uplink millimeter wave distributed MIMO system to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method compared with conventional interference coordination methods.
