HAPS started as a millennium initiative in 2000 AD, but was put on hold. Recently, the "HAPS cellular system" using HAPSs has been re-evaluated as a means of expanding cellular communication service areas and as a means of communication in times of disaster, and research and development for its practical application is actively underway.
In this paper, we propose a new three-dimensional cell configuration in which UAV/HAPS and terrestrial cellular systems (Beyond 5G/6G) work together and share the same frequency. |
