(in English) A Cooperative and efficient operation of thermal and hydropower generation has been important since some time ago. And, in recent years, the importance of hydropower generation which is one of the renewable energy resources particularly has increased from a perspective of carbon neutral concept. From this point of view, we proposed a new algorithm of unit commitment (UC) for thermal-hydro systems. But it is not clear what factors affect costs and how they do. So, in this paper, we focus on reservoir volumes of hydropower plants and inflow of river, and discuss their effects on costs through numerical studies.
