In the 5G specification, Network slicing, which constructs a virtual network for each specific requirement, has been attracting attention as a technical concept to realize the various end-to-end (E2E) requirements. A 5G network is a multi-domain network consisting of interconnected access networks (ANs) and core networks (CNs). Network slices are provided by interconnecting virtual networks called slice subnets, which are constructed for each domain. Therefore, when provisioning slices, the requirements for E2E slices, such as latency and bandwidth, need to be divided into requirements for the slice subnets in each domain. However, if the partitioning is done improperly, unfeasible requirements may be allocated to certain domains, resulting in slice provisioning failure. Therefore, in this paper, we focus on latency as a requirement for E2E and propose a partitioning method that solves the aforementioned problem. The proposed method divides the E2E requirement of latency using a heuristic based on the feasible latency estimated for each domain. We also report the results of a simulation evaluation of the effectiveness of the proposed method. |
