In 2008, Bitcoin was proposed by a group
or individual calling himself Satoshi Nakamoto.
The BC mechanism, which is part of the technology that makes Bitcoin possible, began to attract attention.
In 2013, five years after the birth of Bitcoin As of October 2023, there are more than 1,000 cryptographic assets tokens issued under the ERC-20 standard provided by Ethereum, which means that cryptographic assets are diversifying.
The demand for DeFi for the purpose of exchanging currencies is increasing.
In order to realize decentralized DeFi, the interoperability of BCs, which is the property
that information in a BC can be read and written from other BCs to each other, is required.
Interoperability technology, which is the property of a BC that allows other BCs to read and write information from and to each other, is beginning to be
considered important for realizing DeFi.
BC interoperability technology includes inter-BC communication using a relayer.
The number of nodes required for a relayer is at least one for each connection between two BCs. Therefore, at least $N(N-1)/2$ relayers are required.
As the number of BCs increases, the number of relayers also increases, which may cause communication congestion.
We propose the concept of Relayer Aggregation (RA), which aggregates relayers appropriately. |
