Probabilistic Block Transfer Method Considering Propagation Delay Between Regions in Blockchain Networks

(in English) Blockchain is a secure distributed ledger system, which is based on peer-to-peer networks. Cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, are based on the blockchain technology. In the Bitcoin blockchain, when a
node generates a block, the node will broadcast it through the network. If a different block is mined while a block
is being propagated in the network, a blockchain fork occurs. The fork causes the waste of computer resources
and the inconsistent data. In this paper, we propose a probabilistic block transfer method considering propagation
delay between network regions and within network regions to improve the block propagation time. Through the
evaluation experiment, we show that the result of our proposed method outperforms that of the previous study in
terms of improving the block propagation time.
