An Investigation on Design of Magnetic Electromagnetic Noise Suppressor Placed on Microstrip line Using Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm

(in English) The material design of an electromagnetic noise suppression sheet (NSS) placed on a microstrip line (MSL) was studied using a multi-objective genetic algorithm (GA). First, an equivalent electrical circuit of a transmission line with NSSs was constructed; the effect of the complex permeability of the NSS was calculated from a ladder-shaped magnetic circuit analysis of the flux path in the cross-section of the line; eddy current losses in the NSS were predicted by nonlinear regression of the results calculated from electromagnetic field simulations. Next, the material parameters of the NSS were estimated by a multi-objective GA to obtain an input loss ratio of more than 0.5 at 3 GHz and less than 0.1 below 1 GHz. Finally, Co-Zr-Nb film was selected as the NSS based on the estimated parameters, and the conductive noise suppression effect was measured. As a result, input loss ratio of 0.0984 at 1 GHz and 0.664 at 3 GHz were obtained. This indicates that the estimation method can be used for the material design of magnetic NSS.
