Development of a Sensor Network MAC Protocol Verification System using Wireless Modems

(in English) Wireless sensor network systems have different specifications required depending on the environment and applications in which they are used.
Therefore, it is necessary to design an optimal MAC protocol for each of them. We have used computer simulation to evaluate the protocols which we developed.
However, there is a limit to the evaluation by simulation, and it has been required to evaluate the protocols in actual operation using actual equipment.
In this study, We have developed a system that can implement and verify a wide range of MAC protocols including both CSMA-based and TDMA-based protocols using state-transition diagrams to facilitate the definition of protocols and GPS signals to timing synchronization.
Since this research is a collaborative effort, this paper describes the hardware construction and the API to control it.
