Quantum annealing with continuous variables for linear regression

Linear regression is a supervised learning method that uses known data values to predict unknown data, and it
is a type of data analysis technique. In conventional methods, linear regression was performed using quantum annealing by
approximating variables to discrete values through binary expansion of the variables. However, a drawback of this approach was
the difficulty of improving accuracy without increasing the number of quantum bits. Therefore, we propose linear regression
using continuous-variable quantum annealing. By utilizing bosonic systems, we can directly handle continuous variables
and perform linear regression through quantum annealing. One significant feature is that, by satisfying adiabatic conditions,
accuracy can be ensured without the need to increase the number of quantum devices. |
