In recent years, services over networks have become common, and the traffic volume has been increasing year by year. Therefore, it is important to construct networks that keep providing stable services. In response to this problem, a recent research has introduced hierarchical P2P networks consisting of two layers; the upper layer and the lower layer.
The network structure has some advantages such as high lookup ratio. However, it is not clear how to choose upper nodes (nodes in the upper layer) to possess such advantages.
In this paper, we propose standards to choose upper nodes and evaluate generated networks through simulation. More precisely, we generate networks under standards and evaluate the efficiencies of network structures from the perspective of the stability and the average transmission time of networks due to user join/leave. |
