[Invited Lecture] Small Two Element Rectangular Curl Antenna with Plane Symmetry

(in English) In the small antenna competition hosted by Technical Committee on Antennas and Propagations, the average actual gain of antennas in the specific cut plane competes at 2 GHz. In this report, we propose small two element rectangular curl antenna with plane symmetry. An electrical distribution similar to three element array antennas can be achieved by feeding the two antenna elements with same amplitude and in-phase. As a result, the proposed method obtained the average actual gain 2.7 dBi.
