This paper proposes a coordinated multi-point (CoMP) transmission scheme to mitigate path blockage effects in millimeter-wave frequency selective channels. To this end, the corporative beamforming design is formulated as a regularized sum-of-outage minimization problem where the regularizer is given by a loss function corresponding to the beamformer maximizing the sum rate based on the estimated channel. This formulation deals with outage minimization and sum rate maximization, simultaneously. The proposed problem is solved via block stochastic learning with blockage probabilities for wireless paths, where learning rates are tuned to guarantee the convergence and achieve better local optimal values. Numerical results confirm that the proposed approach achieves higher sum rates than the conventional approaches while maintaining comparable outage probabilities. |
