Load-independent Class-E Inverter with Constant-Current and Constant-Voltage Output

(in English) This research proposes a reconfigurable load-independent class-E inverter with a parallel resonant structure, which can achieve constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV) output. By adding a single additional mode switch, our proposed inverter seamlessly alternates between CC and CV outputs against load variations. Moreover, it consistently maintains zero-voltage switching (ZCS) for both modes, making it possible to achieve high efficiency even at high frequencies. Therefore, the proposed inverter contributes to the miniaturization and high power efficiency of the wireless chargers. The experimental result successfully achieved CC and CV outputs with maintained ZCS against load variation, confirming the effectiveness of our design.
