Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recent trends have shown that spectrum regulators are opening up more shared spectrum bands for fifth generation mobile communications system (5G) and Beyond 5G (B5G) networks. It is expected that advanced spectrum sharing technology will become increasingly important in the coming future. In order to further improve spectrum utilization efficiency, an algorithm for estimating the center frequency and angle-of-arrival (AOA) of signals emitted from base stations is expected to be useful. Previously, we proposed the Wideband Group Simultaneous Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (WGSOMP) algorithm, which is a two-dimensional spectrum detection method that is capable of wideband frequency spectrum detection and AOA estimation, based on compressive sensing theory. This paper reports the results of a verification experiment conducted in an anechoic chamber at the 4.8 GHz band. Using a uniform linear array antenna with 8 elements and an oscilloscope, we simultaneously received transmitted signals from 2 signal generators. We found that even when the compression rate of the received signal is set to 0.5, if the SNR is larger than −8 dB, we can achieve a detection rate of more than 0.9 and an AOA estimation error of less than 5 degrees.
