Analysis of EEG Signals Measured Simultaneously by a Simple EEG Recorder and a Multi-Channel EEG Recorder during Virtual Reality Live Concert Viewing

(in English) The authors developed a virtual live concert viewing system using an immersive head-mounted display that feeds back electroencephalogram (EEG) indicators as visual effects and shares them with multiple people. The EEG indicators used in previous studies is the β/α ratio measured using a compact EEG recorder from the forehead, and its relationship with EEG signals measured at other head regions is unclear. In this study, we added multi-channel EEG measurement to the viewing system, analyzed its simultaneously measured brain waves, and investigated the relationship with the β/α ratio obtained from the compact EEG recorder. The results showed a relatively high correlation with β/α ratios obtained from a compact EEG recorder were found in ones obtained from electrodes around the center of the right side of the head.
