Our research addresses the nexus of router performance and security in contemporary cyberinfrastructure. Routers, pivotal to network functionality, demand robust cybersecurity measures. Despite the importance, the existing certification process is perceived as time-consuming and expensive, hindering widespread adoption. Aligned with the Common Attack Pattern Enumerations and Classifications (CAPEC) testing method, our research employs penetration testing techniques to assess router security. This approach streamlines testing complexity, offering a valuable reference for researchers and industry professionals and reinforcing product safety assurance. Additionally, our evaluation adheres to Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) guidelines, ensuring a comprehensive assessment. |
