[Invited Talk] Psychological Evaluation of Trust in the Recommender System

(in English) This paper describes the author's development and validation of a recommendation acceptance tendency scale that measures deep trust in a recommender system. Psychological scales have been proposed to measure a user's trust in a recommender system by means of a questionnaire survey. However, these psychological scales only asked about the degree of trust in a positive (shallow) range for the user. Therefore, it was not clear whether the user is more likely to be controlled by the recommender system or more likely to be guided by others' modification of the recommendation results. The recommendation acceptance tendency scale developed by the author can measure how easily a user accepts the results of a recommender system, up to a deep level of trust. This paper introduces the questionnaire of the scale and its validation.
