Estimation of Charge-Discharge Efficiency for Battery Energy Storage System

(in English) In recent years, lithium-ion battery energy storage systems are expected as the fluctuation measure and the time shifting of variable renewable energies. In this report, we propose a parameter estimate method for the energy storage system efficiency including the DC energy efficiency of lithium-ion batteries and the AC/DC conversion efficiency of PCS, using the time series data. In particular, we focus on the problem to have by the coarse resolution of SOC (State of Charge) that is estimated by the battery management system attached to lithium-ion battery module, and propose a solution for it.
