Measurement of Transmission Coefficient using QPSK as A Reference Signal Source

(in English) We have been working on the practical application of 28 GHz-band VNA using six-port correlator (SPC-VNA), which is a kind of the homodyne system. So far, we developed a reference signal source and a broadband simplified six-port correlator (S-SPC) in the 28 -GHz band, and achieved a dynamic range up to 30 dB in transmission coefficient measurements. It is expected that sufficient performance will be secured for applications such as testing cables, we are working to reduce the cost and improve the performance of the reference signal source, the receiver, and the test set for the practical application of SPC-VNA. We developed millimeter wave signal source using NLTL to expand the measurement frequency, and 2.92 mm coaxial offset lines calibration kit for SPC-VNA. In recent years, commercially available VNAs have also introduced functions that can input QPSK etc. by external signal source, it be able to measure ACLR and EVM of active device such as amplifiers. We also got a need to measure the transmission coefficient using modulation signals, we experimented to measure the transmission coefficient using QPSK as a reference signal source of SPC-VNA.
