We propose a transmission capacity estimation method for time-domain hybrid PAM schemes with variable transmission capacity, which uses blocking within a time frame and slotting within a block and extends modulation identification utilizing machine learning in units of divided slots. We experimentally demonstrated that the proposed transmission capacity estimation method is effective for time-domain hybrid modulated signals consisting of two types, PAM2 and PAM4, which are affected by signal distortion and noise due to underwater channel transmission.
