[Invited Talk (Young Researcher)] A Study on Core Layout Determination Method for Densest Weakly-Coupled Multicore Fiber Networks

(in English) Suppressing inter-core crosstalk in multi-core fibers within the tolerance threshold is necessary for resource allocation problems in space-division multiplexing elastic optical networks. We have found a sufficient condition, the XT-free condition, which ensures keeping the inter-core crosstalk below the threshold for any network topology and route selection method. We demonstrate that selecting the multi-core fiber with the highest core count among those with core layouts satisfying the XT-free condition minimizes the path-blocking rate.
