Robust first-mile wireless communication systems, such as 5G and Beyond 5G, are essential for a robust ICT infrastructure supporting people's lifelines. This paper aims to gain robustness to the control plane of 5G and Beyond the 5G system. The control plane is the heart of the capability to efficiently control 5G communications, like communication establishment of the users' end devices (UEs). The paper handles two problems. The first problem is that C-plane signaling transmission is not optimized. Because 5G Core (5GC) applies micro-service architecture (Service-Based Architecture), the 5GC service performance (UE's attach processing) heavily depends on the communication performance between micro-services. The performance improvement of C-plane signaling transmission is essential. The second problem is that a real-time monitoring and visualization architecture of 5GC is not concrete. C-plane signal tracing is essential for offering autonomous and robust 5GC management. Therefore, this paper proposes two methods, QUIC-based C-plane signaling transmission and Service Mesh-based C-plane signal tracing, to solve two problems. |
