Request span extraction from dialog with Heterogeneous Graph Attention Networks

(in English) In this study, we formulate the problem of extracting user requests from the dialogue history as a ``span extraction problem.''
In the span extraction problem, user-requested expressions are extracted for pre-determined categories of user requests.
It extract user requests in natural language.
We propose a method using Heterogeneous Graph Attention Networks (HetGAT) as a learning model.
The method using HetGAT shows the best performance compared to BERT's fine-tuning model and other graph network models.
The depth of the GAT layer in HetGAT also has a significant effectiveness on the accuracy.
