As quantum computing advances, it threatens the security of current encryption algorithms, making Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) essential. Accelerating polynomial multiplication through the Number Theoretic Transform (NTT) and its inverse (INTT) is a hallmark of many PQC algorithms. This work introduces a performance-optimized pipeline architecture for the NTT and INTT, tailored for the CRYSTALS-Dilithium digital signature algorithm in PQC. Compared with other full-hardware NTT and INTT works, our optimized computation unit design has increased the average number of operations that can be completed per second by 1.8 to 2.3 times while keeping the resource usage between 1.3 to 1.6 times. Although specifically designed for CRYSTALS-Dilithium, optimization principles of our structure are adaptable to other NTT-reliant cryptographic systems. |
