Stochastic process of broadcast communications between validator nodes in Byzantine Fault Tolerant Consensus Blockchains

(in English) Some BlockChains (BCs) adopt distributed consensus algorithm with Byzantine fault tolerance.
Not only in consortium BCs, but also in some public BCs using a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism have adopted this algorithm.
In this study, we propose a stochastic model of block propagation and verification in Byzantine fault tolerant consensus blockchains.
This paper reports results of theoretical analysis on the probability distributions of times required for broadcast and verification of blocks using this model.
Since these probability distributions are generally expressed in integral forms, they are difficult to handle for theoretical analysis.
To solve this problem, we also derive approximate expressions of these probability distributions.
