Quantitative Analysis of Glucose and Albumin in Multicomponent Aqueous Solution by Microwave Broadband Dielectric Spectroscopy Masahito Nakamura (NTT) MW2023-196 |

Dielectric spectroscopy is a potential tool for novel nondestructive and noninvasive sensing applications. In this paper, we focus on the noninvasive measurement of blood component and a quantitative analysis of the physiological range of glucose and albumin in a multicomponent aqueous solution through multivariate analysis of microwave broadband dielectric spectra is demonstrated. To obtain the selectivity of the target component against to the others, we apply spectral preprocessing to the dielectric loss spectra to extract feature values. The root mean square error of the prediction of the glucose and albumin were 58 and 83 mg/dL, respectively. This technique is expected to implement with a broadband microwave sensors for bio-medical applications. |
