(in English) The purpose of this study was to improve the expressive communication skills of university students by generating the Proteus Effect through the experience of avatars in the metaverse, to improve their sense of place in discussions. In this experiment, we conducted a three-environment comparison experiment in real space (first experiment), metaverse space, and real space (second experiment) to analyze changes in subjects due to the Proteus Effect. As a result, it was confirmed that the Proteus Effect improved the expressive skills related to assertiveness and expressiveness, and that there were temporary positive changes in behavior and personality traits during the discussion.
