Selection Criteria and Diversification of High School Students' Assumptions for Future Employment in Current Social Situation

(in English) In this study, we analyze the results of a questionnaire administered to 120 first-year high school students at a high school in Utsunomiya City on November 15, 2023. The content of the questionnaire was selected to investigate the desired future image of young people (corresponding to Generation Z) against the backdrop of recent times and changes in their desired working styles. The questionnaire was conducted for students in school using Google Forms, based on their opinions about organizations such as companies and their desired life-work balance. The results showed that there were 99 responses (74 responses available for analysis) to the organization questionnaire and 108 responses to the life-work balance questionnaire. And the hierarchical clustering of the questionnaire data revealed several trends in the attitudes toward organizations and the desire for life-work balance.
