[Technology Exhibit] Beamforming Evaluation and Implementation Tool to Support the Development of 5G NR Millimeter-Wave Systems

(in English) Research and development of millimeter-wave radio communication systems for the realization of 5G systems are actively being conducted. However, system verification in real propagation environments is crucial for the realization of millimeter-wave radio communication systems. This exhibition introduces a millimeter-wave NR beamforming development tool that enables beamforming through a combination of RF components and array antenna. This tool supports operation frequencies in the 26-39 GHz band and up to 16 channels of analog phase control. Additionally, it can be combined with OpenAirInterface (OAI) to construct an end-to-end 5G FR2 test network, offering a flexible setting for beam management and testbeds, suitable for protocol development and field trials.
