Realization of flying bit in a model of excitable media on face-centered cubic lattice Shigeru Ninagawa (KIT) MSS2023-83 NLP2023-135 |

Several propagating and stationary patterns have been observed in the model of excitable media on face-centered cubic lattice. In this research, we consider type-I glider, a propagating pattern, as flying bit `0'. By colliding it with another type-I glider, we can convert it into a type-IV glider which represents a flying bit `1'. Moreover colliding a type-IV glider with a stationary pattern yields a type-I glider. These phenomena are considered set/reset operation on flying bit. |
