Search for ultra-light dark matter using millimeter wave receiver -- DOSUE-RR --

(in English) Dark matter accounts for approximately one-quarter of the total energy in the universe.
However, most of its properties, especially its mass, are unknown.
DOSUE-RR (Dark-photon dark-matter Observing System for Un-Explored Radio-Range) is an experiment aiming to detect ultra-light dark matter.
If the dark matter is dark photon that is one of the dark matter candidates,
the dark matter is predicted to convert into a millimeter wave.
We developed a millimeter-wave receiver with a horn antenna to detect the dark photon signal, and
performed the dark-photon search measurements in the frequency range from 10 GHz to 18 GHz.
To estimate the sensitivity of our dark photon measurements,
it is essential to know the effective aperture area of the horn antenna.
Therefore, we performed beam-pattern measurements with a near-field antenna measurement system
and calculated the effective aperture area.
We also performed an antenna simulation to estimate the effective aperture area.
Considering these results, we obtained the sensitivity of our dark photon measurements.
As a conclusion, we found that our study was better than the previous cosmological sensitivities.
