(in English) In this study, finite element simulations were performed to develop a method to spatially control taste sensation in the throat using gustatory electrical stimulation, which is one of the transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulations. In this simulation, three electrodes were attached at the jaw and one at the back of the neck and one of the three electrode on the jaw was set as an anode and back of the neck as a cathode. As a result, it was found that there was a region of high current density in the vicinity of the electrode position. This suggests that it is possible to design stimuli that control the spatial distribution of taste in the throat.
