Various models are proposed globally for the future of Space Solar Power System. One such model, the USEF2006 model, proposes the construction of large-scale power transmission sites in geostationary orbit using "integrated power generation and transmission panels (integrated panels)".
The Japan Space Systems (JSS) is currently conducting research and development related to integrated panel as part of a research and development project for the high-efficiency wireless power transmission technology in space solar power generation, commissioned by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Within this, IHI Aerospace has been tasked with the development of a ground evaluation model of the integrated panel. In this paper, we report the results of the system evaluation tests conducted at Kyoto University's A-METLAB during the development. |
