Drama Therapy Research using Virtual Reality -- Examination and Analysis of Session Content --

(in English) Drama therapy is a group psychotherapy in which participants learn how to relate to others through improvised drama. However, drama therapy has problems such as a lack of therapists, shyness towards acting, and limited places where it is held. Therefore, we aim to develop drama therapy by AI therapists in the XR space (XRDT). First, the content of XRDT sessions was examined in a created world in VRChat®. From the analysis of the questionnaire and the content of the interview, it was found that the participants’ cognitive empathy, which allows them to consider others and soften their own thoughts, was improved. Thus, the effectiveness of the XRDT session was confirmed.
