(in English) Strong physically unclonable function (Strong PUF) is a hardware-security circuit that generates response outputs corresponding to its challenge inputs based on its unique secrets hidden in inevitable process variations. Previous Strong PUFs suffer from impractically low output space (e.g., 1 bit) due to its tradeoff with modeling attack vulnerability. In this work, we realize a 100-bit-output Strong PUF based on the substitution-permutation network (SPN) and an SRAM-based entropy source that harvests its process variations as secret information. This PUF is resistant to mainstream machine learning algorithms including an DNN trained with up to 10M CRPs. Response bitstreams collected from test chips fabricated in a 130-nm CMOS process passed all NIST SP800-22 randomness tests with high p-values. The proposed Strong PUF also showcases a high throughput of 3.70 bits/cycle (17.64 Mbps@0.85 V) and a low energy consumption of 4.67 pJ/bit at 0.85 V.
