Performance Evaluation of Inter-Terminal Access Control Method in Millimeter Wave Terminal Cooperative Wireless Communication Systems

(in English) In the terminal coordination wireless communication system, neighboring terminals share transmission information to collaborate with each other, forming a virtual large-scale Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) to realize spatial multiplexing transmission. This study employs millimeter-wave communication, capable of high-speed and low-latency information transmission, for sharing information with neighboring terminals. The objective of this study is to evaluate the performance of inter-terminal access control in a millimeter-wave-based terminal coordination wireless system.To enhance the efficiency of the virtual MIMO through terminal coordination, it is necessary to share the transmitted information with as many terminals as possible. Therefore, this study examines how the number of coordinating terminals changes under a millimeter-wave communication model by employing a simple access control method. The results demonstrate that access control effectively reduces interference between terminals, thereby increasing the number of coordinating terminals. Furthermore, it is revealed that the number of coordinating terminals strongly depends on the radio wave propagation environment.
