Study of Test Case Reduction in Shadow Tests Focusing on Requests/Responses

(in English) Shadow tests are known as a way to ensure no unexpected change of behavior occurs by software updates. In this report, the authors proposed test case reduction in shadow tests, then studied how the test cases can be reduced and where the difficulties come from, assuming that the reduction is based on requests/responses and applied to the test of the Network Repository Function (NRF) in free5GC, an open-source software. Some insights for realizing test case reductions in shadow tests were gained, such as, which part of requests/responses are noteworthy, the procedure to analyze the source codes, the problems to be solved, and so forth.
