Implementation and Evaluation of E2E Resource Control for Low Latency and Low Jitter in Mobile Communications

(in English) In this paper, we focus on end-to-end (E2E) low-latency and low-jitter mobile communications, and investigate a method to control E2E communication resources for user-specific use. The current delay factors in mobile communications are scheduling in wireless access and UPF processing in the core network. To solve this factor, we focus on the control of scheduling schemes and hardware acceleration of UPF (User Plane Function) processing, and implement a system that combines both technologies. We evaluate the E2E delay on the system and show that E2E communication resource optimization can simultaneously reduce delay and jitter.
