(in English) Undoubtedly, the use of ICT in education is not a new concept. The GIGA school initiative has further propelled the advancement of ICT environments in education. Simultaneously, the need for online classes compatible with COVID-19 has led to a significant increase in research and practice. In this context, when focusing on early childhood education, it becomes apparent that activities involving ICT in childcare for young children are not as prevalent as those for elementary school-aged children and beyond. This raises questions about the current status of ICT integration in early childhood education and the perspectives of caregivers in this field. This paper presents the results of a questionnaire survey conducted by the authors, examining the utilization of ICT in early childhood education across all facilities in “A” Prefecture.
