Human diversity has various aspects such as culture, gender, race, and neurodevelopmental conditions. Neurodiversity encompasses traits that are often invisible, being challenges in mutual understanding their difference and their difficulties faced. In this study, we aimed to facilitate mutual understanding by examining differences in gaze behaviors between autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and typical development (TD). We proposed the Virtual Reality (VR)-based system to experience eye behaviors with different neurological characteristics. The system showed a social communicative situation and measured their eye-gaze using eye-tracking built in the VR goggles. Subsequently, these recorded eye-gaze were analyzed and presented to other people for the experience of another eye-gaze and their difficulties. |
