Evaluation of Photon Loss Tolerance in Hybrid Squeezed Cat Code

Towards the realization of fault-tolerant optical quantum computers, bosonic code, such as cat codes and GKP codes, have been proposed to impart error resilience to the quantum states of light. While bosonic code exhibit resilience to specific types of losses individually, efforts are actively underway to enhance their resilience by integrating them with quantum error correction code. Additionally, it has been reported that performance can be improved by hybridizing bosonic code with entities like photons. In this proposal, we attempted to enhance performance by hybrid squeezed cat code with polarization. Numerical simulation results were compared with two types of codes, a non-hybridized squeezed cat code and hybrid cat code, and performance advantages were demonstrated for both. |
