Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we investigate the application of DU (Deep Unfolding) to the proximal decoding method for detecting and decoding LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) codes in MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output)channel. The Proximal Decoding is an algorithm based on the mathematical optimization technique of proximal gradient methods, which decodes by iterating between the gradient descent step and the code-proximal step. We propose DU-Proximal (Deep Unfolding Proximal Decoding), which introduces learnable parameters into the proximal decoding and optimizes these parameters using stochastic gradient descent and backpropagation, techniques from deep learning, aiming to improve error correction capabilities and convergence properties. In our experiments, we compare the performance of the proposed method with the MMSE (Minimum Mean Squared Error) signal detection method, the tanh signal detection method, and the MMSE signal detection method combined with BP (Belief Propagation) decoding. The results of the experiments reveals that performance improvements are achieved through parameter optimization by deep unfolding. Moreover, the results indicate that performance is significantly enhanced in regions of high signal-to-noise ratio.
