Study on Heartbeat Waveform Estimation Using Millimeter Wave Radar

(in English) In recent years, millimeter wave radar has attracted attention as a non-contact and non-invasive vital measurement method, and technological development is progressing. Heartbeat waveforms are one type of vital information that can be measured using millimeter wave radar, and new applications that utilize the characteristics of heartbeat waveforms are expected. However, since the heartbeat waveform is estimated from the very small displacement of the body surface caused by the heartbeat, it is not easy to estimate the heartbeat waveform using millimeter wave radar, and there are problems with the estimation accuracy. In this paper, we proposed a method that focuses on the periodicity of heartbeats to improve the accuracy of heartbeat waveform estimation, and evaluated it through experiments.
