In wideband transmission, the optical power transitions from short to long wavelengths due to inter-band Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS), which complicates the prediction of system performance. In this work, we experimentally demonstrated Receiver-side DSP-based fiber-longitudinal monitoring of optical power transitions due to inter-band SRS in ultra-wideband WDM transmission; by applying Longitudinal Power Monitoring (LPM) in the S+C+L-band transmission, the optical power profiles are estimated in the distance and wavelength directions. |
