We report an experimental study of hybrid light-matter excitation in a coupled system of GaAs semiconductor quantum dots and THz optical resonators. A THz split-ring resonator (SRR) was fabricated on the surface of an AlGaAs/GaAs semiconductor heterostructure wafer with a two-dimensional electron system, and a quantum dot was formed near the SRR. The photocurrent spectrum of the quantum dot showed coherent coupling between the electrons in the dot and the SRR. |
