Estimate of the Delay Profile and Angular Profile Prediction for Between Base Station in the Sky and Mobile Station on the Road Shinichi Ichitsubo AP2024-17 |

In late years, the mobile communication services using the base station established to the flying vehicle such as HAPS and the drone are examined. For this reason, the prediction of multipath propagation characteristics between the sky base station and the mobile station on the road is necessary in urban area. The multipath propagation characteristics are expressed by delay profile and angular profile. The multipath propagation characteristics for the ground base station installed in the roof of a building are considered conventionally. A prediction method for multipath propagation characteristics of the sky base station is proposed base on that of the ground base station. This method use the property that the tow excess losses become same when the elevation angles of the ground base station and sky base station are same. The free space loss depending on a propagation course length is revised in the prediction of the delay profile. A horizontal angle depending on distance between transmitter and receiver is revised in the prediction of the angle profile. |
