Wi-Fi sensing is expected to be a low-cost sensing method because it does not require dedicated sensors. In this study, the Wi-Fi received signal strength was measured when two persons performed a back-and-forth motion between the transmitter and receiver, and the motion cycle was detected by spectral estimation using the Lomb-Scargle periodogram. The spectral estimation results showed that the motion period could be detected even when the two subjects moved at different periods, as the peaks corresponding to each period were obtained. It was also found that random movements mixed in during the measurement did not affect the detection of the period. |
